Kate Middleton spotted in Banana Republic |
Kate Middleton buys outfits from Warehouse for her honeymoon?
Speculation is that Middleton is stocking up on essentials for her forthcoming honeymoon; the four pieces she picked up in Warehouse, including a poppy-print strapless dress, £60 and a short tropical bird-print dress, £65, are rather "holiday" in spirit. She also bought several items from Banana Republic's summer collection, although the store refused to divulge specifics.
The US-based brand is known as the "more grown-up sister of Gap", its parent company, offering the kind of sleek, unfussily elegant, shock-free wardrobe staples loved by Middleton. Indeed, according to an eyewitness, the imminent bride chatted to staff about how she "loves Banana Republic," and how she "will be shopping with them in future." Prices veer on the more upper end of the high street, with blouses coming in at around the £55 mark, and dresses at £75.
Kate Middleton: her choice of going-away outfit will reflect her new status
Middleton's trips further highlight her much-lauded frugality. She often shops at TK Maxx for heavily-discounted designer brands, as well as at high-street favourites LK Bennett and Whistles, and regularly recycles her favourite pair of suede knee-high boots for public outings.
