| Dogwood Festival |
The Atlanta Dogwood Festival kicks off at noon on Friday at Piedmont Park. Festival organizers suggest people take MARTA to the Arts Center Station near the Woodruff Arts Center, or the Midtown Station on 10th Street. Atlantic Station will launch the operation of new hybrid shuttles during the Dogwood Festival. Atlantic Station also will send street performers to the festival.
The festival also features the Kid's Village for children and families, which hands-on art projects and kid-friendly displays.
A city ordinance does not allow dogs (other than the pre-registered competing dogs) in Piedmont Park during the festival.
